Don’t Give The Enemy A Foothold

Matthew 12:26 “And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive.”

My thoughts: The enemy will not deliver us from himself. Some of us are trying to cast out Satan by the power of Jesus when we are living for the world. While the enemy must flee at the name of Jesus, he won’t go anywhere if we continue to welcome him, not because he has any authority, but because it is God’s choice to bring us deliverance. If we rebuke a demon by the name of Jesus, yet continually resist God, chances are that God will allow us to remain in bondage until we surrender completely to Him. When we resist Jesus, we give the enemy a foothold in our lives. Our authority over darkness is determined by our position before God. Going to church doesn’t save us from demonic bondage. We need Jesus Christ Himself to strengthen and support us, otherwise, we will be trampled on and suffer defeat. If we divorce ourselves from God, we have no source of strength. By the name of Jesus, we will always overcome. There is nothing too hard for Him.
