Romans 8:1 “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus ”
My thoughts: God will never condemn us of our sins. The enemy will spit out accusations and tell us God doesn’t want us. There is a difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation repeatedly points out the sin and brings feelings of guilt, shame, and sadness. Conviction brings recognition of the sin, yet an urge to accept the grace of God and overcome what has been a hindrance. God is convicting. The enemy is condemning. May we never call God’s convicting truth condemning as an excuse to remain the same. Instead, let us command every chattering lie of condemnation to be shut up in Jesus’ name and listen intently while responding with willingness to the truth of God. God will never convict us of something He cannot enable us to overcome.
