Romans 3:3,4 “True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true…”
My thoughts: What a wonderful promise in the Word of God! Even when we aren’t faithul, God is. However, when we aren’t faithful, we miss out on the abundant life He has to offer us. God is always ready to give, He just wants someone He can trust to give to! Can a spouse trust his or her husband or wife if they are sleeping around with other men or women on the weekends? No! In the same way, God will not invest in those whose hearts are captivated by the idolatry of the world. Why do you think Jesus used the term adulterous generation? Israel was supposed to be a bride betrothed to Yahweh, yet many of them rejected Him when He came! Will we be faithful in a relationship with Him or be people who are always wavering? God’s faithfulness to us is not an excuse to act however we want. God is setting the example of how we should act towards Him.
