Everyone Has A Story

Psalm 12:5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighting of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

My thoughts: God has always desired for the lost to be saved. He is always ready to rescue! In the same way, He is also calling us to arise and lead others to Him. May we be moved with compassion for others today! Everyone has a story. Whatever their circumstances may be, God is always the author of salvation. He writes a new story that far surpasses the old one. Imagine the eternal impact we can make by leading others to His safety! We are not alone. Jesus empowers us and will give us His heart if we ask.

  1. I also see this verse as a call to help alleviate the oppression of the poor, which is so prevalent in today’s world, whether it is unfair treatment of the poor in the court system or human trafficking or something else. It is as we help in these areas that God’s love is shown by us toward others, opening the door for leading them to Christ.
